2021 MOTHER'S DAY GIFT GUIDE

What would we like for Mother’s Day? That’s a loaded question. We’d like for everyone to get along. We’d like to see our children playing happily (device free) and preferably outside. We’d like every dish cleared before we have to ask AND loaded into the dishwasher. We’d like a day to ourselves. And while we’re at it…peace, love and harmony throughout our house morning, noon and night please. That’s all. Too much to ask? Maybe. We’d like to think that the day will start off like a dream. Everyone will be working together to surprise mom, putting their best foot forward. But expectations should be tempered. By 11 o’clock it might all fall into a familiar scene. Kids bickering and dishes slowly drying with caked-on food nowhere near the dishwasher. Soon enough the “Moms” will start. You know them. The “Mom!” you hear repeatedly, at least 116 times a day. What to do? Well, you can try your best to find a thoughtful gift for the mom you want to celebrate or the person who you call mom. We all know the mother figure might take shape as a grandmother, an aunt, a dear friend, a sister, or a father who doubles as a mother. Anyone and everyone who mothers should be celebrated. While we did our best to gather a few of our favorite things that we would love to receive on Mother’s Day, the most important thing is that you make an effort. Try your best to quiet the children and make the mom you want to celebrate feel special. Gifts aside, if you do nothing more than tell someone how much they mean to you this Mother’s Day, you’re winning. Bonus points for a thoughtful gift.
